Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and organized Medical Administrative Assistant to join our compassionate health care team. As a Medical Administrative Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office. Your primary responsibilities will include providing exceptional patient service, managing administrative tasks, and supporting the medical staff, scheduling patient appointments.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries or direct calls to the appropriate staff member
- Schedule patient appointments using our electronic medical scheduling system
- Verify patient demographic information for follow-up care
- Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy and confidentiality
- Assist with daily functions within the clinic
- Coordinate referrals to other healthcare providers or agencies
- Manage office supplies and inventory
- Perform general administrative duties such as filing, faxing, and scanning documents
Skills:
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or in a similar administrative role within a healthcare setting
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to provide compassionate care to patients
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Familiarity with office equipment and phone systems
- Attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality in maintaining patient records
