BerryDunn is seeking a Senior Consultant with experience in Medicaid Enterprise Certification to join our Medicaid Practice Group. As a Senior Consultant, you will have an initial focus supporting our client in Puerto Rico as a Medicaid Enterprise System (MES) Certification Leadand be supporting our Puerto Rico client in their efforts to achieve and maintain CMS Certification of their Medicaid Enterprise System in accordance with the latest Streamlined Modular Certification (SMC) guidance. As part of our consulting team focused on State Medicaid Agency (SMA) clients, you'll leverage your healthcare expertise and experience in MES certification to help Medicaid agencies achieve and maintain certifications and continue to improve the health and wellbeing of their most vulnerable population.
This position can be remotely-based or in one of our offices in Portland, Maine, Charleston, West Virginia, San Juan, Puerto Rico, or Phoenix, Arizona. You will report to senior leaders in the MPG, and will help clients nationally with your initial focus being on our client in Puerto Rico.
Travel Expectations: Approximately 25% of travel to client sites is anticipated in the future to support projects.
ResponsibilitiesYou Will: Provide CMS certification services to SMA clients as they transform their organization to align with their MES outcomes-focused strategy. As a trusted advisor, you will provide leadership and guidance for federal partners, clients, vendors, and internal project teams in the following areas:
- Lead and manage the work of the BerryDunn project team related to SMC activities
- Partner with SMA client in collaborating with federal partners, vendors, and other clients
- Facilitate discussions with SMA client, vendors, coworkers, and federal partners
- Oversee the development of plans, surveys, and assessments related to SMC activities
- Manage and build strong relationships with project stakeholders, including client contacts, project team members, vendor contacts, etc
- Manage and report on project status, progress, budget, schedule, quality, and resources
- Facilitate and attend internal BerryDunn team meetings
- Facilitate meetings with the client, team, and vendors to achieve project objectives
- Mentor and develop project team members
- Assist in developing, reviewing, and/or discussing project deliverables
- Document and escalate project action items, issues, risks, and/or decisions to BerryDunn leadership, the client, and other project stakeholders
- Provide frequent, clear, and consistent communication to the client, team members, vendor, and direct reports
You Have:
- A bachelor's degree (a bachelor's degree can be replaced with an additional four (4) years related experience).
- Five (5) years of demonstrated MES certification expertise (i.e. OBC, SMC).
- Three (3) years of demonstrated experience in a Certification Lead role supporting a State Medicaid Agency or a large healthcare provider management organization of a similar size.
- Demonstrated ability to confidently facilitate meetings and present complex concepts to stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to balance multiple assignments and achieve quality results in a timely manner
- Demonstrated ability to create and sustain positive working relationships with diverse stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to perform and thrive in an ambiguous and changing environment
The base salary range targeted for this role is $90,000-$130,000. This salary range represents BerryDunn's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. If an applicant possesses experience, education, or other qualifications in excess of the minimum requirements for this posting, that applicant is encouraged to apply and a final salary range may then be based on those additional qualifications; compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, years of experience, depth of experience, seniority, merit, education, training, amount of travel, and other relevant business considerations.
