We are looking for a Global Majors Pre-Sales Systems Engineer (SE) to overcome and remove all technical barriers in the sales process. You will work with an Account Manager to develop new business working directly with customers and partners. The Pre-Sales SE role will require you to act as a trusted technical advisor who can effectively position the Aruba EdgeConnect Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) portfolio including Software Defined WAN (SD-WAN) and Security Service Edge (SSE). You will be located in the Atlanta Metro Area but will also accept other major Southeast Metro areas.
How you'll make your mark:

  • You will sell to and persuade technical personnel at large enterprises on the value of SASE - Aruba SD-WAN (Silver Peak) and Aruba SSE (Axis Security)
  • You'll deliver pre-sales presentations and demonstrations to customers and partners
  • You will support sales efforts through on-site meetings, group presentations and marketing activities
  • You will manage and own all technical aspects of the sales cycle
  • You will architect, install and configure the Aruba SASE virtual and hardware appliances into customer environments for proof-of-concept and production deployments
  • You'll own the technical relationship with customers, partners and resellers through technical training, problem escalation and new feature requests
  • You'll maintain a strong market awareness and knowledge of competitive technologies to best position EdgeConnect (Silver Peak and Axis Security)
  • You will provide prompt feedback to and be ready to aid product management and engineering on future direction of the product
  • You will travel to trade shows, marketing events and HPE/Aruba headquarters
  • You'll participate in discussion with marketing and engineering teams on new product introduction and provide feedback

You will have:
  • A BSCS degree and or 5+ years of experience as a pre-sales Systems/Sales Engineer
  • Technical certifications are a plus (e.g. VCP, CCNP, CCIE, CISSP, JNCP)
  • the ability to demonstrate a knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, TLS, HTTP/S)
  • experience working with VLANs and IP subnetting
  • experience using routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP
  • experience with network security - Firewalls, IPSEC, SSL-VPN, NAT, GRE
  • recent experience using the CLI on major router and switch vendors
  • the ability to present to an audience of mixed roles and technical abilities within an organization
  • troubleshooting skills that include hands-on experience with the configuration of networking gear
  • hands-on experience with cloud platforms - AWS, Azure, GCP
  • an understanding of identity and access technologies - SSO, SAML Federated Identity, OAuth, OIDC, RBAC, Authentication
  • knowledge of Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Office Suite (Power Point, Excel, Word), Microsoft Windows, Apple OS X, Linux operating system experience
  • You're a team player willing to help out peers and other teams within the company
  • the ability to present to a large audience or group of people
  • the internal drive and positive attitude to go above and beyond whenever necessary to compete and win business
  • the ability to occasionally work nights and weekends around customer schedules

If this is a sales role, then the listed salary range reflects combined base salary and target-level sales compensation pay. If this is a non-sales role, then the listed salary range reflects base salary only. Variable incentives may also be offered. Annual Salary: $153,500.00 - $345,500.00
