Media Specialist

OU Education Services (OUES) is a nonprofit created to manage and grow online learning at the University of Oklahoma. The University of Oklahoma Board of Regents has authorized OU to engage OUES in supporting OU to manage and deliver online programs and courses. OUES was created in collaboration with the university and will improve OU's capabilities to increase education accessibility. 

The Media Specialist produces high-quality video assets for online courses and digital platforms using an array of multimedia tools. This role is responsible for the end-to-end video production process including filming, editing, post-production, and optimization.

Key responsibilities:

• Operates studio and field equipment to record footage based on production plans and specifications.
• Executes video editing and post-production using tools like Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Audition.
• Ensures final videos meet brand style guidelines, accessibility standards, and stakeholder expectations.
• Collaborates with instructional designers, course developers, and subject matter experts throughout the production process.
• Organizes, maintains, and properly stores media assets using department systems and protocols.
• Provides status updates and communicates issues, risks, or changes proactively.
• Participates in team meetings, training events, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required Skills/Requirements:

• Good attitude, positive mindset, and commitment to the OUES values
• 1-3 years experience shooting and editing video content
• Strong working knowledge of video production equipment, editing software, and post-production techniques
• Attention to detail with ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills

Additional Skills/Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Film, Video Production, Media Arts, or related field
• Experience editing video content for online learning environments
• Knowledge of accessibility standards and principles of instructional video
• Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud tools and video optimization best practices
• Passion for staying current on emerging multimedia technologies

Salary Range: $47,000-$58,000
