Summary:
Epic Charter Schools is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Social Media Specialist to join our team and support our Social Media Coordinator in expanding our Social Media presence. The Social Media Specialist will play a critical role in enhancing productivity, scalability and engagement across various Social Media platforms.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Responding to YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter comments promptly and professionally.
Working with SMS on upcoming promotions and campaigns.
Identifying 2-3 trends and/or trending audios weekly that align with our brand for strategic implementation.
Creating and posting 3-5 engaging stories regularly to increase audience interaction.
Participating in brainstorming sessions to generate innovative content ideas and campaigns.
Representing Epic Charter Schools by attending events when the Social Media Coordinator is unable to attend, providing live coverage and updates.
Engaging with other local (non-Epic) Social Media pages daily to build relationships and foster conversations within the community.
Maintaining and embodying Epic Charter Schools' unique voice and brand on all Social Media platforms.
Collaborating with teachers to identify and showcase outstanding students, parents and teachers.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of experience in public relations, marketing, advertising or a related field preferred.
Experience in public education a plus!
Qualifications
Proficient in content creation and page management on various Social Media platforms.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Familiarity with Social Media trends, platforms, and analytics.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management skills.
Prior experience in Social Media management is a plus.
Willing to work independently.
Strong relationship-building skills.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze and interpret internal communications, financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to inquiries or complaints. Ability to communicate effectively with students, families and coworkers, both verbally and in writing. Bilingual in Spanish or Spanish-speaking proficiency desired but not required.
Mathematical Skills
Basic math skills required
Reasoning Ability
Ability to define problems, collect data, gather relevant facts and present valid conclusions
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have computer proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Google Suite, Mac OS, Windows, Microsoft Office, Zoom and Wix (or other website management tools). Must have a high aptitude to learn new software as necessary for the business operations of the school.

Current driver's license and valid car insurance

Must be able to pass a state-mandated background check after a conditional offer of employment is made
