Turn 10 Studios, the creators of the top selling and critically acclaimed Forza racing games' franchise, has an exciting opportunity to join the Media team as a Media Sound Designer. A Media Sound Designer at Turn 10 will work as part of the creative team responsible for crafting experiences for existing and new titles within the Forza franchise. Working closely with both internal and external teams the Media Sound Designer will be responsible for all aspects of audio post-production for the Turn 10 Media team. The candidate will work closely with internal creative teams and producers to ensure that all audio aspects of media content are produced to the highest standards and delivered on time.
This role involves combining an understanding of visual narrative and edit flow, technical craft, creative problem solving, and execution in a team-centric environment.
Responsibilities
- Own and create all aspects of audio post-production, including sound design, mixing, editing, and mastering.
- Collaborate with the visual creative team and producers to ensure that all audio content meets stakeholder objectives and standards.
- Participate in creating compelling trailers, cinematics, and gameplay videos with excellent pacing and dynamics.
- Manage the post-production process from start to finish, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Create and manage the studio's audio library for media production.
- Assist in creating sound effects and music for campaigns as needed.
- Balance quality with efficiency while managing timely deliveries in a production environment.
- Able to take direction and incorporate feedback.
Qualifications
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or Certificate in Design, Fine Arts, Human Computer Interaction, Visual Communications or related art field
- OR equivalent experience in production process for creating custom video game cinematic trailers with an emphasis on automotive sound design or sound portfolio.
Portfolio
- Examples of cinematic trailer work.
- Examples of editing, mixing, and mastering to demonstrate proper signal flow.
- Demo reel/portfolio & breakdown with relevant examples of your work.
Additional or Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Audio Engineering, or Sound Design
- Proficiency with Avid ProTools, Izotope RX, and Ozone.
- Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Automotive enthusiast with a passion for racing games.
- Understanding and knowledge of marketing trends and best practices.
Art IC2 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $71,300 - $114,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $98,300 - $127,700 per year.
