Salary: $110,000 - $130,000 per year
We are an innovation hub for the next generation of commercial vehicles. We are expanding rapidly and looking for the next Mechatronics Engineer to join our dynamic team. If you have a background in the automotive industry and you are looking to work on new and exciting projects, then this is a great fit.
This role is perfect for a talented engineer who is passionate and experienced in the automotive industry. You will be utilizing the latest technology and tools to develop E/E and SW architectures, build up of bench and vehicle level systems, specifications development of the system elements, and ensure that the vehicle systems and components meet customers’ expectations and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop complex mechatronic systems for automotive applications using advanced CAD tools.
2. Implement and adhere to the Automotive SPICE framework in all stages of system development.
3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate mechanical, electrical, and software elements into system designs.
4. Conduct rigorous testing and validation of designs to ensure performance and safety standards are met.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the development process.
6. Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in mechatronics and automotive technology and apply this knowledge to improve system designs.
7. Prepare technical reports and present design concepts and progress to stakeholders.
8. Assist in the training and mentoring of junior engineers and technicians.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A Master's Degree will be considered an asset.
2. A minimum of 3 years of experience in the engineering industry, with a focus on mechatronics and the automotive sector.
3. Proficiency in CAD software for the design and development of mechatronic systems.
4. Solid understanding and experience with the Automotive SPICE framework.
5. Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and software systems integration.
6. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
7. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
8. Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with professionals from various disciplines.
9. Commitment to staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in mechatronics and automotive technology.
10. Demonstrated ability to manage projects and meet deadlines.
