They are seeking a qualified Mechanical Engineer with experience in design for both New Construction and Renovation projects in a range of Commercial applications, as well as experience and/or interest in sustainable design including energy modeling and LEED certification process.
Position Description :
As a Mechanical Engineer:
- You will be working within a multi-disciplinary team on design, coordination and production of engineering construction and bid documents on complex projects requiring advanced experience and design knowledge.
- You will be responsible for collaborating with lead engineers on design efforts from start to finish to ensure compliance with scope, budget and schedule.
- The candidate will develop designs and act as Engineer of Record for HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection Systems.
- You also need to be capable of developing detailed layouts, one-line diagrams, schedules, details, notes and associated calculations for commercial projects in sectors such as multi-family, retail, restaurants, health care, municipal, industrial, offices, and institutional facilities.
- You will also be responsible to coordinate with other disciplines affected by design development and ensure completed layouts; drawings and specifications are checked for clarity, completeness, conformity to standards and procedures.
Experience/Education:
- The position requires that the applicant be licensed as a Professional Engineer in the State of Florida, or have the ability to obtain that license prior to commencement.
- The applicant shall have a minimum of 5 (up to 8) years of mechanical systems design experience using both AutoCAD and Revit.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Professional Engineer
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Architectural Engineering
- Dedication to quality and our commitments to our clients is a must.
- Computer literacy including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD, proficiency with Revit is required.
