We are 12 family-owned and operated hardware stores in the Central Florida area. Started in 1983 by Walter and Patricia Toole, Toole's Ace Hardware has been in the retail hardware business for over 40 years.
Position Summary:
In this position, the right candidate will demonstrate proficiency in the diagnosing and repair of a wide variety of outdoor power equipment as well as a friendly demeanor for talking to customers. A Stihl Technician is responsible for the overall success of the Stihl and outdoor power equipment department. They are the key point-of-contact in the store to establish and promote relationships with Stihl customers, as well as being the go-to person in the store for all questions regarding power equipment. This is a position that will require continual technical training and growth.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Diagnose problems and determine what repairs are needed on STIHL power equipment.
Disassembly, repair, and reassembly of components and machines.
Performs all service tasks
Prepares all forms (detail of work performed on repair orders) to be entered into our computer system.
Report any additional work required on equipment to customers, for proper and safe operation.
Participates in all training programs.
Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion.
Brings to the attention of the Store Manager any shop tools or equipment that is not in a serviceable condition or is unsafe to use.

Education/Training:
High school education or equivalent.
Experience:
Experience with Small Engine repair, two-stroke and four-stroke.
Interest in learning and taking over more responsibility as you progress
RETAIL AND CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE IS PREFERRED
Physical Demands:
Ability to lift at least 60lbs on a regular basis.
May be subjected to sitting/standing/climbing/reaching/crouching for long periods of time to perform job.
GOOD COMMUNICATION SKILLS.
