We are seeking a talented Mechanical Product Engineer to play a vital role in design, verification, project management and much more as it relates to the industrial products manufactured by this organization.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design equipment considering engineering standards, form, fit, function, safety, reliability, cost, ease of manufacture, ease of maintenance, as well as ease of shipping and installation.
- Conduct design verification utilizing finite element analysis, fatigue analysis, and other appropriate verification methods as development project requirements may dictate.
- Coordinate and conduct testing of prototype equipment to validate design form, fit and function.
- Develop technical documentation to support consistent, repeatable manufacturing including engineering drawings, definition of tolerances, specifications for purchased components or materials, quality standards, service manuals, test requirements and any other pertinent product information necessary for proper engineering control.
- Within a team environment, be able to develop and adhere to schedules and coordinate the activities of peers, technicians, and manufacturing personnel.
- Ensure that all engineering changes are accurately and thoroughly documented and communicated via Engineering Change Notice (ECN) process.

Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in an appropriate engineering field, preferably Mechanical Engineering is required. Knowledge of common engineering practices, computer-aided design (CAD) software, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, project management techniques, and industrial manufacturing techniques are required.
Experience required:
- 3D CAD experience with Software such as SolidWorks (preferred), Pro-E or Inventor
Experience desired:
- Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software such as SolidWorks Simulation, COSMOS or ANSYS
- Microsoft Project software
Language Skills:
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret engineering drawings, technical procedures, governmental regulations, general business periodicals, and professional journals is required.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedures.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Mathematical Skills:
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as product dimensions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to utilize various engineering calculations to conduct design verifications and design validations through the analysis of empirical test data.
