Duties and Responsibilities:

• Process Improvement: Lead and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing efficiency, quality, and safety within the production facilities in Amite, LA and Greensburg, LA.
• System Upgrade Projects: Plan, design, and execute system upgrade projects to modernize and optimize manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• Project Management: Take ownership of projects from conception to completion, coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet project timelines and deliverables.
• 3D Mechanical Design: Utilize 3D modeling software to create detailed designs and specifications for mechanical components and systems, ensuring accuracy and feasibility.
• Controls Engineering: Develop and implement control systems for machinery and equipment, troubleshoot issues, and optimize control processes for improved performance.
• Collaboration: Work closely with production teams, maintenance staff, and other engineering disciplines to gather input, feedback, and requirements for successful project execution.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including design drawings, specifications, and project reports.
• Compliance: Ensure that all engineering activities comply with relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in 3D mechanical design and familiarity with relevant software tools.
• Proficiency in Solidworks is preferred.
• Strong background in controls engineering and project implementation.
• Excellent project management skills with a track record of successful project delivery.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and systems, with a focus on process improvement.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with diverse teams.
• Experience in a steel fabrication or manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Ability to work on-site full-time in Amite, LA and travel occasionally to Greensburg, LA.
