Job Description
The Mechanic is responsible for repairing and servicing a wide variety of rental equipment. They handle repairs, parts ordering, service calls to job sites, and documentation of repairs.
Job duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Diagnosing and repairing heavy & small equipment
- Ordering parts/supplies as needed for repair
- Documenting repairs performed
- Troubleshooting and repair at customer job site
- Prioritizing daily tasks
- Managing daily workflow
- Maintaining work area and facilities
Job requirements include, but are not limited to the following:
- Mechanical background and knowledge of construction equipment
- Mechanic skills including mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulics
- Understanding of schematics and diagrams
- Able to work independently
- Good communication skills- written and verbal
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent customer service skills
- 50 hour work week
- Must be available to work Saturdays
- Maintaining a professional appearance
- Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Able to pass a drug screen
- High school education or equivalent
- Able to lift and or move up to 75 pounds
