Details:
A Mechanical Drafter job is currently available at Belcan in Rockford, IL. This is a full time, direct position with full benefits. Great matching candidates will have strong skills with using Solidworks and at least 5 years of practical drafting. You will apply drafting standard practices, methods, and techniques for a variety of products within the aerospace industry.
Job Duties:
•Use appropriate drafting standards to produce various detail, assembly, and layout drawings, or other diagrams and schematics to transform the design into a
more useful visual representation.
•Revise drawings to conform to design change orders.
•Assist design personnel, as required, in all other aspects of drawing creation process.
Required:
•DUE TO THE NATURE OF OUR WORK, US CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED
•Associate degree in engineering required or 7+ years of relevant experience
•At least 5 years of direct, hands on drafting experience in the aerospace industry
•High level of proficiency with Solidworks
•Experience with mechanical parts and assemblies
•Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
•Familiarity with engineering data storage and product lifecycle management software such as Teamcenter or Windchill
•Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desired but not required skills:
•Model based design (MBD)
•Current Secret Clearance or ability to get Secret Clearance a plus
Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary range of $61,048 to $71,032 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.'
