The CAD Designer will be responsible for the design and development of 3-D assembly models & 2-D manufacturing drawings. This includes: drawing layouts, manufacturing drawings, engineering drawings, and related documentation. They are also responsible to assist in developing detailed designs that meet client needs. These include designs using Solid Works software as well as creating 3D models with various dimensions and resolutions. Knowledge in Microsoft Word and Excel is a plus, but not required. Excellent communication skills.
1+ years of CAD Designer experience ideal but will pay for classes / training for the right candidate.
Strong commitment to team environment dynamics with the ability to contribute expertise and follow leadership directives at appropriate times.
As a Mechanical Designer at NMI you will experience a large breadth of daily design challenges. We are not a products-based company, but instead a solutions-based partner for our customers. Each day will likely require a new design challenge from a clean sheet of paper. One day you may be laser scanning the front of a new skid steer for a custom guarding package, next you'll be building a 3-d model of a customer's planned excavator bucket rebuild. The week after that you may be asked to help design a custom piece of equipment for a customer's manufacturing process.
