A leading San Diego, CA-based firm specializes in the production of air pollution control systems
for capturing particulate and gaseous emissions through advanced wet scrubbing technology. These
systems cater to a broad spectrum of sectors including chemical, industrial, metallurgical,
medical, and pathological waste treatment. Key system components such as condensers, absorbers,
quenchers, venturi scrubbers, and wet electrostatic precipitators are also offered for varied
applications. All systems are innovatively designed in-house and brought to life by our trusted
supplier network.
Position Summary:
The Mechanical Designer role is a dynamic and integral part of the engineering team. You will be
collaborating closely with the Project Manager and the Project Engineer to generate sophisticated
3D models and technical drawings. This is a temporary position, expected to last between 3 to 6
months, offering a valuable opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking projects in environmental
technology.
Responsible for 3D and technical drawing generation including:
- Mechanical design, routing, and new part creation
- Updating models and drawings based on customer and vendor feedback
- Documentation and manuals
- AA in drafting or B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
- Proficiency with SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- 1 to 5 years of relevant experience
- Experience with piping systems, including valves, instruments, and pumps
- Experience with structural steel
- Experience with pressure vessel design
