The focus of this position will be to design and detail Solid Works drawings and Bill of Materials in support of engineering, while also interacting and communicating with suppliers and vendors.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and modify solid models and engineering drawings for electro-mechanical medical devices, accessories, and/or equipment used to support manufacturing, installation, and servicing of NeoCoil products.
- Work jointly with peer engineering teams, vendors, and manufacturing to complete product designs across all phases of the engineering development cycle.
- Collaborate with suppliers and peers during design and development to ensure product requirements align with supplier capabilities.
- Work closely with engineers on design improvements, BOMs, and drawing updates.
- Utilize personal judgement, initiative, and experience to resolve problems and make recommendations.
- Adhere to Quality Management System requirements applicable to work performed, including but not limited to, Good Documentation Practices, Document Control, and Record Control.
- Perform duties in a safe manner, following all safety policies and procedures, to prevent injury to self or others.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- An Associate's degree or better in Mechanical drafting and a minimum of two years’ related experience.
- Experience using solid modeling CAD software for solid models, assembly management and engineering drawing creation; SolidWorks/SolidWorks PDF experience preferred.
- Experience creating Bill of Materials.
- Experience drafting technical documents including test plans, reports, and FMEAs.
- Ability to develop and implement design changes quickly in response to fast-changing requirements.
- Must be hands-on with the ability to develop, qualify and support new products under guidance of mechanical engineers.
- Must possess good interpersonal and communication skills and works well in a collaborative environment.
- Ability to organize and manage concurrent engineering activities for multiple projects.
- Above average computer proficiency in MS Office; Outlook, Excel and Word.
