Work Schedule: Home/Office--50/50%
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design and develop Special Service Tools in support of customer Tool program.
• Create 3D Models and 2D Mechanical Drawings (CAD)
• Gather tool requirements and application information
• Develop tooling concepts and solutions
• Develop tool mock-ups, prototypes (e.g. 3D printing)
• Coordinate with machine shops and other suppliers for prototype fabrication
• Test and validate tools on vehicles or vehicle subsystems
• Document legacy tools where existing documentation is deficient
REQUIREMENTS:
• BS in Engineering or degree candidate with relevant work experience
• Project Management work experience required. PMP certified a plus.
• 3+ years’ experience in Mechanical Engineering / 3D CAD
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (Autodesk Inventor preferred)
• Basic knowledge of Electrical systems, electrical troubleshooting beneficial
• Hands-on Automotive assembly or repair experience
• Understanding of engineering principles, machining, injection molding
• Analysis and problem solving skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
