Mechanical Assembler.

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Assembler to join our client's team in Knightdale, NC. The Mechanical Assembler will be responsible for assembling hardware stacks and mechanical assemblies. The Mechanical Assembler will be expected to work according the set specifications in a high quality and safe manner. The Mechanical Assembler will need to be able to read assembly documentation and provide high quality of work. This position will be Monday to Thursday, 10 hour shifts with Friday shifts only when required by production deadlines.
Responsibilities:
- Must follow all safety guidelines and requirements
- Operate tools and equipment according to established safety procedures.
- Follow established safety procedures and techniques to perform job duties, including lifting, climbing, etc.
- Listens and follows directions from supervisors and management
- Must exhibit quality workmanship that adheres to engineering and customer specifications
- Adheres to established quality standards
- Works in a timely, efficient manner to meet all daily performance objectives
- Must be able to work in a team environment which requires cooperating with others, offering help when needed, and maintaining positive work relationships
- Inspect jobs upon completion and ensure areas are clean.
- Report inventory use as required
- Lifts 50 pounds consistently
- Complete Time Reporting Sheets
- Ability to work up to 10 hours per day and weekends as required
Working hours: 6:00 AM - 4:45 PM
Skills:
- Must be able to read and understand posted bulletins, regulations, rule books, manufacturer manuals, and work instructions
- Ability to read assembly documentation and provide high quality of work with guidance
- Desire to produce quality products to be used in larger assemblies
- Able to use basic hand tools/power tools such as drills, saws, nut drivers, screw drivers and torque.
- Can properly assemble hardware stacks, mechanical assemblies with great attention to detail
- Wood or metal-working experience a plus
