Job Summary The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Federal Work Study student in Mike Cottrell College of Business department on the Dahlonega campus. The Dean's Office is seeking a Student Assistant that can perform a wide variety of administrative functions to support the Dean's Office.
The Student Assistant will perform tasks, administrative functions, and research, as needed by the Dean's Office. The student will interact with the staff in the Dean's Office and the MCCB, faculty, and students. Responsibilities Greet customers of the department, or other personnel of the college.
Assess customer needs and direct visitors to the appropriate points of contact. Assist in resolving inquiries and ensuring excellent customer service. Operate a computer and use a variety of office software applications to complete projects.
Manage office supply inventory. Receive mail/deliveries for the department. Provide assistance to MCCB Dean's Office staff (includes special projects or data entry).
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills. Must be reliable, professional, and proactive. Ability to operate and troubleshoot standard office equipment.
Ability to operate a variety of computer and software packages, including MS Office Suite. Creative problem solving. Required Qualifications Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
