JOB DESCRIPTION:
St. Paul’s School invites qualified candidates to apply for the full-time position of Mathematics Teacher to begin duties in August 2024. The successful candidate will have a Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics (graduate study preferred) and prior high school teaching experience. Experience with teaching computer science will be considered a substantial plus. We seek candidates who can teach the range of college preparatory high school math, including advanced courses in statistics, calculus, and multivariable calculus.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
In addition to classroom teaching responsibilities, faculty responsibilities at St. Paul’s School include student advising, dormitory supervision, coaching and co-curricular engagement, committee work, and other duties. All faculty members live on campus in school-owned housing as a condition of employment, so we seek faculty members who will embrace the fully-residential living experience, demonstrate skill in engaging a diverse student body, and prioritize their role in strengthening St. Paul’s inclusive community.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Mathematics or related field.
Experience: Four or more years teaching mathematics at the secondary level. Ability to teach all levels of secondary-school mathematics. Experience in using a variety of technological resources to enhance the learning of mathematics. Energetic interest in collaborating with colleagues and in continuing to develop professionally in terms of current pedagogy and scholarship.
SALARY: Competitive, based on experience.
