Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one or group tutoring sessions in person or online to students in various subjects, including 5th-7th grade math, algebra 1, geometry, advanced algebra, pre-calc., calculus and AP statistics (some Zoom positions available). Chemistry, biology and physics positions available.
-most positions are in the homes and libraries of Corte Madera, Tiburon, Kentfield, Greenbrae, San Francisco, San Rafael and Mill Valley. Tutors may choose which towns they would like to work in.
- Assist students in understanding and applying concepts, solving problems, and improving study skills. Homework coaching.
- Create a supportive and engaging learning environment that encourages student participation and fosters academic growth.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in math, econ, education, Business, English, science, engineering, comp sci, history, art history or related field
- Experience working with students in a tutoring or teaching capacity.
- Strong knowledge of the subjects being tutored
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.
- Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students succeed.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $54.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 20 per week
