PositionOverview: As aMaterial Handler, you will support a broad range of activities in a dynamic,high energy warehouse environment providing all material to productiondepartments for manufacturing the best rail vehicles in the world. What your day will look like: Specific area orresponsibility may include receiving, put away, picking, kitting, or deliveryof material to production.
Ensure transactional accuracyfor all material movements - i.e. ensure the correct quantity of material ismoved to the specified location, and MRP system transactions are completedcorrectly. Ensure all material isproperly identified with appropriate labels and part numbers.
Carefully handle material toprevent any damage during handling in the warehouse or delivery to production.Immediately notify supervisor of any quality or delivery issues Use of powered industrialvehicles in the movement of material. Certification for use of some tools andequipment may be required, such as crane, forklift, order picker, scissor lift,and fall protection equipment. Meet production schedule formaterial delivery to production.
Explain warehouse proceduresand processes to fellow workers. Follow all safetyrequirements, including use of all required personal protective equipment(PPE). Contribute to and maintainconditions that ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
What are we looking for? High school education or GED. 2 years previous experiencein a warehouse environment.
Basic English skills -ability to read and understand written instructions and effectively communicateverbally. We would be impressed if you have: Warehouse experience in amanufacturing environment. Powered Industrial Vehiclecertification.
