POSITION SUMMARY:
Safely and effectively operate lift truck to move material in General Factory and out of General Factory. Reasonable accommodations may be made to ensure individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITY:
- Ensures full compliance with all Agrati, Inc. and government Environmental Health & Safety standards, policies, and procedures. Implement lean manufacturing concepts including continuous improvement and 5S.
- Must follow all safety rules & wear proper safety equipment provided.
- Follow requirements of IATF & ISO work instructions for Material Handler
- Load & unload trucks may be required at times.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance on fork lift per check list.
- Perform daily housekeeping responsibilities as in emptying scrap hoppers, band hopper, oil dry hopper, garbage gondolas, and operate floor sweeper.
- Move tubs (empty or with product) to or from production machines to or from other areas or buildings.
- Move coils of wire to or from production machines
- Move coils of wire between building where stored to productions machines. This requires being outside of buildings.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCES:
- Prior forklift experience is preferred
- Ability to pass driver training certification; re-certify when necessary.
- Basic math skills.
- Legible handwriting; read/write/understand (communicate) in English
- Team player; work independently; self-motivated.
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 35 pounds, possibly on a repetitive basis. .
- Must work all required scheduled overtime.
- Ability to work within two shift operation.
- PC Literate; ability to log all required documentation
SPECIFIC TRAINING REQUIRED:
- Complete Environmental Health and Safety Policies and Procedures training of self and staff, administration of all programs, audits and corrective action plans in area.
- IATF Quality Systems administration and ISO 14001 Environmental Management Standards.

· Openly participate with behavior observations and utilize job safety analyses (JSA’s), safe work instructions (SWI’s)
· Practice preventive maintenance
· Machine Operators; utilize all applicable machine guarding, lock out/tag out procedures and electrical safety requirements and ensure equipment is safe to operate
· Mobile Equipment Operators; retain up-to-date certifications, follow all regulations and ensure equipment meets safety requirements
· Maintenance Employees; obtain applicable permits before working including confined space, fall protection and utilize lock out/tag out devices'
