We are seeking a dedicated and reliable individual to join our team as a Specimen Collector and Medical Courier. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting various specimens from patients, ensuring proper handling, and labeling, and delivering them safely to the designated laboratory or medical facility. Your attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of patient care will be crucial in this position.
Male needed for monitored male urine collection**
HOURS: **SPLIT SHIFT**
- Monday: 9AM-1PM; 6pm-9pm
- Tuesday: 7PM-9PM
- Wednesday: 9AM-1PM; 6pm-9pm
- Thursday: 9AM-1PM; 6pm-9pm
- Friday: 9AM-1PM
PAY RATE: $19/HR + MILEAGE REIMBURSEMENT
Responsibilities:
1. Specimen Collection:
- Perform specimen collection procedures, including blood, urine, and other bodily fluid samples, in accordance with established protocols.
- Explain the collection process to patients, ensuring their comfort and understanding.
- Adhere to strict safety and infection control procedures to prevent contamination and maintain a sterile environment.
- Accurately label and document collected specimens, ensuring proper identification and tracking.
2. Specimen Handling and Transportation:
- Safely and securely packaging collected specimens for transportation, following appropriate protocols and guidelines.
- Monitor and maintain the inventory of specimen collection kits and supplies, replenishing as needed.
3. Medical Courier Duties:
- Collect and deliver medical supplies, reports, and other confidential documents between medical facilities, laboratories, and clinics.
- Safely transport specimens and Medical supplies, ensuring timely and reliable delivery.
- Follow predetermined routes and schedules to ensure efficient and organized delivery of specimens.
- Adhere to all traffic rules and regulations, ensuring the safety of yourself and others on the road.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in specimen collection, Medical Courier services, or a related field is preferred.
- Knowledge of proper specimen handling, labeling, and transportation procedures.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in documentation.
- Ability to work independently and follow established protocols and procedures.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy loads (up to 50 pounds) and stand for extended periods.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
