The Material Handler ensures accurate coordination of all incoming and outgoing shipments to and from the warehouse in an effort to meet customer requirements in the most efficient and effective manner.
The Essential Functions of the job include:
- Load trailers with customer product per correct unit counts that have been warehoused per customer order
- Operate dock locks and plates
- Create delivery slips per shipments
- Adjust inventories in system
- Unload trailers with customer product to be warehoused
- Properly place customer product in the warehouse in an orderly way
- Communicate with the customer service department as needed
- Routinely clean and sweep the warehouse
- Fill in for other warehouse personnel as needed
- Ensure quality is a work priority by being attentive to detail and accuracy and by actively seeking work process improvements— quality is the responsibility of all employees
- Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors
Work hours, compensation & benefits:
- The starting wage for this position is $22.08/hour.
- This 1st shift position works an 8-hour shift, working Monday - Friday
- This position may be required to work overtime up to 12 hours/day or on Saturdays depending on the volume of workload.
