Working as a Material Handler, you will operate forklifts, tractors and other pieces of equipment involved in the movement, storage and handling of all material associated with construction and service of a ship. Material Handlers transport over 90,000 individual parts across 350,000 sq. ft. of inside storage and 14 acres of outside storage space.
This is a mid-level Material Handler position. Applicants may be assigned any Material Handler trade tasks, but will initially be assigned to operate equipment including (but not limited to):
- Receive/issue material at Warehouses and Facilities
- Maintain accurate inventory
- Operate fork lifts
- Operate barcode scanners
- Operate hand tools (Banders, etc.)
The pay range for this position ranges from $26.00/hr - $27.00/hr.
Location: Main Yard
Required:
- At least one year of fork-lift experience
Preferred:
- High School Diploma or GED
*** Prospective candidates must pass a fork-lift competency test at time of interview ***

- Must meet the requirements of the Material Handler physical task analysis, to include climbing stairs and ladders
