Job Description:
As a Staffing Coordinator for Home Instead, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the scheduling and coordination of caregivers to meet the needs of our clients. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our services by effectively matching caregivers with clients, managing schedules, and addressing any staffing issues that may arise. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Schedule and coordinate caregiver assignments based on client needs, caregiver availability, and geographic location.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and caregiver schedules using scheduling software or other relevant tools.
  • Communicate regularly with caregivers to confirm schedules, provide updates, and address any concerns or issues.
  • Collaborate with the care management team to assess client needs and preferences in order to make appropriate caregiver assignments.
  • Manage last-minute scheduling changes, including filling shifts due to caregiver call-offs or client emergencies.
  • Monitor caregiver performance and attendance to ensure reliability and consistency in service delivery.
  • Act as a liaison between clients, caregivers, and other members of the care team to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
  • Provide timely and responsive customer service to address client inquiries, concerns, or complaints related to scheduling or caregiver assignments.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations and company policies related to staffing and scheduling practices.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and other relevant activities to support continuous improvement and teamwork within the organization.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Prior experience in staffing, scheduling, or coordination role, preferably in a healthcare or Home Care setting.
  • Proficiency in using scheduling software or similar tools to manage schedules and assignments.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, caregivers, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Knowledge of Home Care industry regulations and standards preferred.
