Hourly Rate: $21-23/hr
Primary Function: The primary function of this position is to keep products flowing through the plant with thorough and precise communication, while coordinating with multiple departments to achieve customer satisfaction and timely delivery of customer orders.
Duties / Responsibilities:
- Manage visibility of “Backlog” items and communicate closely with purchasing and production on estimated fulfillment dates.
- Arrange transportation for customer LTL and International Parcel shipments in accordance with company policies and customer expectations.
- Prepare shipping documents such as Bill of Lading, Commercial Invoice, etc.
- Print Picklist and disperse them to proper location for fulfillment.
- Scan/provide required shipping and order documentation to Accounting Department to facilitate accurate and timely invoicing.
- Gather relevant information related to damaged shipment claims and lost package claims and submit to appropriate channels.
- Assist and record shipping and tracking of Consignment Inventory and Trade Show Inventory and Materials.
- Monitor and provide updates related to shipments as requested by Customer Service, Sales, and Customer representatives.
- Track and communicate the arrival of warranty items to the appropriate departments.
- Respond to information requests related to upcoming and past shipments via phone and email, such as:
o Shipping cost estimate
o Transit time estimate
o Tracking number
o Future scheduled ship dates
- Perform cycle counts.
- Other task assigned by the Materials Manager to keep customer products flowing.
Skills:
- Must be detailed oriented and organized.
- Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.
- Sound knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and related software.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
Physical Demands:
- This job has physical requirements such as: sedentary work, occasional bending, squatting, kneeling, stooping; good finger dexterity and feeling; frequent speaking, hearing, and visual acuity and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds either individually or with assistance. Talking on the company phone 20-30% of the workday.
