What you will be doing:

• Ensure the goods are offloaded correctly using the correct techniques and the receiving of goods is in line with the relevant SOP's and the materials are receipted into the warehouse following all the processes and procedures.
• Manage and coordinate customer delivery commits between production, engineering and logistics.
• Assist to establish EDI with suppliers.
• Enter data into SAP to load and manipulate data and to produce reports.
• Prepare and update weekly material report, material requirement planning (MRP) and end of life (EOL) report.
• Review MRP execution and ensures accuracy of information.
• Compile data on standardization and interchangeability to expedite parts from warehouse.
• Establish and implement policies to standardize project wide logistics and material management processes.
• Receive EDI communications from internal software, analyzing and resolving any discrepancies find.
• Create commercial invoices/packing lists, and communicate frequently with freight forwarders regarding service expectations.
• Work with the QA department to get product release for shipments.
• Assist the purchasing team with the expediting of New Product/Prototype parts.
• Communicate any supply or supplier risks to the planning team.
• Arrange Logistics for orders requiring collection.
• Reduce inventory costs by analysing supplier performance and risk.
• In use of the SAP system: goods issue, goods receipt, goods transfer, receipt & lot numbering of incoming materials, the issue of materials to process orders and cost centres, the transfer of materials from locations via barcode system or keyboard, confirmation of transfer orders, cycle counting and reconciliation of adjustments to and from inventory and creating labels for use in dispensing via the bar code system.

What you'll need to be successful:

Essential:

• Proven experience in a similar role, ideally with an automotive company.
• Experience in import and export control would be an advantage.
• Ability to work to strict deadlines and prioritise workload.
• Experience in, and use of SAP/MES system.
• Advanced MS Excel user.
• Proven ability to self-manage and deliver on time.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to build relationships internally and externally.
• Reliable and flexible in their approach.
• Able to support beyond standard hour when needed.

Preferred:

• Cross-functional business team environment experience preferred.
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Able to work under pressure.
