Position Overview
The Master Data Specialist is a critical member of the Supply Chain organization, responsible for understanding how data should be created, maintained, interconnected and utilized to satisfy organizational objectives. This role plays a key part in ensuring the integrity of Envoy Solutions data with proper set-up, analysis and validation. The Master Data Specialist partners with Category, Sales and other functional areas to support on data projects and initiatives and will work with the Envoy Vendor community to create "golden records" to enable transactions on Envoy Platforms.
Responsibilities Include:
- Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality.
- Assess, set-up, validate and edit Master Data including cost, category, market, and attributes
- Ensure data integrity for new product, vendor and customer setup and loads.
- Independently manage the relationship with internal teams and external suppliers to obtain accurate operational content for the purpose of adding items to the product master file.
- Support and guide the sales organization to ensure data integrity for new vendor and item loads.
- Collaborate and guide the Category/Merchandising and Ecommerce teams with projects and initiatives.
- Use discretion and negotiation skills with vendors on minimum order quantities, pricing and other programs.
- Monitor and coordinate the timing of product updates tied to vendor cost changes.
- Manage the relationship with Marketing to ensure product content is appropriate for web presentation.
- Work with Category, Customer Service and Accounts payable to load vendor and customer data and ensure all data elements are researched and loaded correctly.
- Provide reporting and analyses as requested and interpret data to meet the specific needs of stakeholders or functional groups within the Company.
- Manage multiple concurrent projects and internal and external stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have:
- At least 3 years of related business experience, with a solid understanding of data structure and data challenges impacting businesses.
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience required.
- Ability to gather, analyze and organize complex data in such a manner as to make it actionable and effective for Envoy Solutions systems.
- Ability to oversee and manage multiple concurrent data projects and internal customers.
- Discretion with the use of proprietary company data and keen judgement with vendor relationships and negotiation.
- Ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet or exceed deadlines in a fast-paced, service oriented environment.
- Exceptional planning and organizational skills with strong attention to detail and follow through.
- Experience adapting to new software applications with ability to understand basic IT documents for workflows, data concepts, and project requirement timelines.
- Proficiency in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel.
