Marketing Specialist/Cartridge Manager

we are looking for you as a(n) Marketing Specialist/Cartridge Manager.
This position is responsible for the overall cartridge management and marketing activities of silicone sealants in Market Segment (MS) 511 - Construction Sealants & Adhesives. This position will coordinate the marketing activities of the silicone sealants market segment and lead other projects or process related activities within the marketing team. They will develop initial understanding of the silicone sealants market segment and transactional maintenance capability for pricing. They will be accountable for pricing, revenue, and understanding profit implications for the silicone sealants market segment and approving customer pricing below established guidelines and support the negotiation and internal approval of customer contracts. This position will create basic market and business plans in collaboration with sales managers and global product segment management and overall guidance from the Market Manager. Monitor financial elements of the business and appropriately report results. Construct a marketing communication plan for silicone sealants inclusive of customer events, trade shows, marketing materials. They will also coordinate approval of artwork for private label finished products. Assist technical with information required for them to initiate internal process for set-up of new private label finished products within our ERP system.
Position Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regional marketing strategy for adhesives and sealants for the silicone construction sealants platform
• Drive the regional business development aligned with global guidelines and defined objectives of sales revenue, profitability, growth rate, etc. Foster innovation by strategically driving product/technology development based on market and customer needs.
• Executes strategic activities: conduct competitive analysis, coordinate and prioritize opportunities, create, adjust and maintain pricing strategies, lead market focus team meetings/salesforce funnel reviews, support long-term business plan creation, and support or lead corporate/divisional projects.
• Coordinate artwork approval for Private Label cartridges and tubes with customers and cartridge/tube/box suppliers. Review artwork for accurate and correct information. Utilize supplier portals for submittal of artwork to be reviewed/set-up with suppliers. Liase with other cartridge managers in EMEA, China and Asia to ensure consistent processes are being utilized for set-up of PL on a global basis. Assist technical with information required for them to initiate internal process for set-up of new PL finished products within our ERP system.
• Manage promotional activities including advertising, trade shows, product literature & brochures, conferences and symposiums, product introductions and rollouts. Support Wacker Academies with appropriate presentations. Determine industry association participation.
• Work with Business Team Leader on development of business plans (BP1-BP5) assist with preparation of monthly reports & sales contracts. Provide an internal resource for sales managers.

Position Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Marketing or other Business related field required. MBA preferred
• Minimum of 3 years of related experience required
• Prior experience in chemicals related industry preferred, ideally working with sealants and adhesives
• Strong analytics skills and conversant in chemistry related topics
• Experience with SAP or other ERP software is preferred
• Experience with Salesforce or other CRM system is preferred
• Excellent communication skills are required along with organizational skills and time management
• High level of interpersonal and influential leadership skills needed (multi-cultural and multi-functional within a matrix organization
• Foreign language skills is a plus (German or Spanish)
