Shredding Operations And Route Manager / Cdl Truck Driver

We are seeking a Shredding Operations Manager / Route Planner / CDL Truck Driver to join our team! You will commute M-F to our warehouse in Doraville, GA with work hours from 7:30 AM -5:00 PM and must be available to work Saturdays.

This position is responsible for using company software to plan and manage routes on a daily basis as well as driving routes whenever necessary to meet customer demands (all driving is local to Atlanta). Managing routes involves continuous and proactive communicating with customers and drivers to ensure that jobs are completed according to protocol, customers are invoiced or payments are received at the time services are rendered. The routes planner must be able to plan ahead given future work schedules and job demands.

We are looking for candidates who excel in managing driver personnelwith a positive attitude while they are in the field. The candidate must be polished in customer phone and email communications, negotiating rates, and navigating issues as they arise. Proficiencies in writing, software use, and simple math are a must.

You will be responsible for safely operating a mobile document shredding truck with a capacity of at least 26,000 pounds Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW).

Responsibilities:

• Operations Management
  • Report to respective owners for sales and financial matters
  • Communicate with customers
  • Communicate with vendors for operational needs
  • Manage driver schedules and personnel as necessary to meet route plans
  • Oversee truck maintenance and establish proactive maintenance schedule as well as shop, source, and manage mechanical repair solutions during breakdown events.

  • Oversee storage activities utilizing software to scan and track storage transactions
• Route Planner
  • Use software to build, maintain, and manage shredding and storage routes. *Route planning is essential to ongoing success in this role.
  • Communicate with customers via phone and email as needed for purposes of scheduling and completing jobs
  • Schedule shredding and storage jobs
  • Communicate with drivers as needed in order to manage schedules and support through successful completion of jobs
  • Check invoices for accuracy and run sync of invoices into accounting software
  • Support drivers as needed while managing routes
• Shredding Truck Driver
  • Safely drive and operate a shredding truck on routes, purge projects, events, and storage deliveries.
  • Engage customers with a service-first attitude that leaves a great impression each and every time
  • Load and unload paper at customer locations into bins for onsite shredding
  • Operate shredding equipment to destroy paper onsite
  • Use trucks to pickup and deliver storage materials to/from client locations
  • Utilize software applications to initiate customer communications and track activity
  • Complete invoicing accurately, and take payments on COD jobs
  • Dump loads at the recycler using weigh-in / weigh-out scale system
  • Inspect truck before and after trip
