ABOUT THE COMPANY
Allison Sports Town Complex is an indoor/outdoor venue that spans 82 acres, nestled near Deer Lake Golf Club. Our premier sports complex offers 12 outdoor professionally maintained sports fields, including 4 turf fields that allow for all weather play. A 94,000 sq. ft. indoor facility is home to four high school regulation basketball courts as well as two indoor soccer fields. Indoor and outdoor concessions are available as well as spaces for parties and meetings in our versatile indoor venue.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Marketing Manager will be responsible for the management of promotion of Allison Sports Town and assist in business development strategies to drive team, programming and event bookings. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to event promotions, press releases, solicitation of prospective business, managing social accounts, graphic design, and website maintenance. The Marketing Manager will work closely with the General Manager to forecast and deliver to budgetary goals.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Achieves operational objectives by contributing marketing and sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining system improvements; implementing change.
- Build out and execute comprehensive marketing calendar for the venue
- Will represent the venue at various national, regional and local trade shows, job fairs, community meetings, governmental meetings, etc.
- Responsible for media alerts, press releases, interviews
- Will engage with local CVB to enhance marketing reach and bandwidth
- Has ability to motivate coaches and directors throughout the sales and booking process to utilize all available amenities and programs
- Has strong ability in graphic design and advertising, including work with Adobe CS suite software
- Meets financial objectives by forecasting requirements; assisting in preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
- Improves venue/product marketability and profitability by researching, identifying, and capitalizing on market opportunities
- Sustains rapport with key accounts by making periodic visits; exploring specific needs; anticipating new opportunities
- Accomplishes marketing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
- Collaborates with the in-house marketing agency to organize and execute marketing initiatives
- Exhibits the values and principles of Company including accountability, collaboration, excellence and service
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
- At times will serve as Manager on Duty
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Management of a marketing and/or business development budget
- Experience in measuring and reporting marketing/advertising campaign analytics to ultimately measure ROI, efficiency, and effectiveness of campaign activity
- Prior experience in marketing research to gain consumer insights (locally, regionally, and nationally) to identify key selling points for attracting corporate/organization relationships including sponsorship and financial partnerships, or business development activities
- Management of corporate website(s) in the WordPress platform
- Ability to develop content and write with company voice in mind
- Experience in writing press releases and managing media relationships
- Experience in managing business accounts on a variety of social media platforms including, but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or advertising; or minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar position
- Technologically savvy with skills in using multiple platforms or software for a variety of tasks such as cloud file management or project management
- Advanced knowledge in using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Entry level or beginner knowledge in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically in InDesign and Illustrator
- Skilled at identifying and creating opportunities or promotions to deliver revenue goals
- Must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving and negotiating skills
- Must be a team player and deadline-driven
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays and long hours)
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Office setting
- At periodic times of the year are expected to work overtime, if necessary
- Due to the nature of the sports facility, Marketing Manager may be expected to work varied hours
- Must be able to remain in a sitting stationary position for long periods of time
- Must be able to lift 40 pounds to waist high
- May be required to sit or stand for extended periods of time both indoors or outdoors, and squat, stoop or bend
- Must be able to work in varying weather conditions
- Will be required to operate a computer
- Facility has intermittent noise
