General Responsibility Statement
The Marketing Manager leads the marketing team by successfully bringing all marketing projects from idea to execution. The primary functions of this role will include activities and build the Van Beek brand, tell our unique story, and provide innovative marketing solutions that grow Van Beek presence and awareness in the marketplace. This position supervises and guides all team members to create and execute projects such as websites, advertisements, and email marketing campaigns.
Essential Job Responsibilities
The essential job responsibilities consist of the following:
- Management
- Develop an Annual Marketing Plan with execution timelines with the VP of Sales/Marketing/Business Development.
- Lead the internal marketing team utilizing proven leadership skills combined with an ability to provide excellent performance management, critical feedback, innovative insights, and daily direction.
- Mentor and encourage the marketing team members to foster a positive work environment.
- Shoulder the responsibility of the quality and completion of all work projects assigned to the marketing team.
- Partner with the compliance department to ensure all media language uses approved claims in accordance with the FDA and other regulatory and certifying bodies.
- Report the progress of projects at major stages of their conception, creativity, and execution.
- Anticipate problems that may impede a project from completing on time and implement solutions.
- Build strategic relationships and partner with key industry players, agencies, and vendors.
- Work without direct supervision.
- Marketing
- Develop strategies and tactics that communicate across several platforms the Van Beek product line with the result of driving more customer traffic.
- Deploy successful marketing campaigns and own their implementation from ideation and execution.
- Ensure designs and content reflect consistently and the brand image and company image positively.
- Experiment with a variety of organic and paid acquisition channels – content creation, content curation, pay per click campaigns, event management, publicity, social media, lead generation campaigns, copywriting, performance analysis, and much more.
- Measure and report performance of marketing campaigns, gain insight, and assess against goals.
- Oversee the production of valuable and engaging content for our website, literature, packaging, labeling, and other media that presents our products to attract and covert our target groups.
- Other Duties
- The position shall support its manager and shall ensure that all department members are cross trained in the position responsibilities.
- Willing to receive input and direction from all members of the Executive Team.
- Conduct other duties and responsibilities as requested by management, including assisting in production lines.
Qualification Requirements
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of knowledge, skill, and ability required.
Education, Reasoning Ability & Experience
- A Bachelor of Arts in Marketing is preferred or a minimum of 8 years of marketing experience of equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
- 2-5 years of proven experience in a management role responsible for marketing functions, developing and implementing successful strategic plans, forecasting, budgets, digital marketing, etc.
- Knowledge of opportunities, trends, and features in both traditional and social media spaces.
- Experience with Hubspot, HTML5, or similar is a plus.
- The ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables.
- Critical thinking and logical reasoning skills, including problem solving, troubleshooting and decision making.
Communication and Language Skills
- Highly effective communicator possessing the ability to listen with the intent of fully understand and to articulate strong reasoning and potential solutions.
- Possess a creative an imaginative approach to branding and marketing that can be applied to common sense business practices.
- Capacity to effectively present information in one-on-one, and group situations.
- Conveys thoughts clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing. Ability to write complex correspondence.
- Maintain professionalism in the way they communicate, refraining from foul language, and inappropriate language.

Travel Requirements
This position does require some overnight travel.
Physical Demands
Must be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Required to sit and use computer, handle paperwork, also to stand and use hands and fingers to grasp and hold objects, tools, and/or controls, likewise reach with arms and hands. The employee is also, at times, exposed to fumes and/or airborne particulates.
