Description
ADTRAV Travel Management is seeking a motivated and ambitious Marketing Manager. The Marketing Manager leads a team that is responsible for brand management, marketing communication, supporting sales efforts and departments, and managing the digital strategy and execution. This position must be located in Birmingham, AL or within a 2 hour driving distance as it will be required to come into the office periodically for meetings or to prepare for events.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Provide day-to-day leadership of a team consisting of a graphic artist and web developer.
- Set goals and objectives for team and provide guidance to team to ensure they know what is expected in position and in company.
- Execute on corporate marketing and digital strategy.
- Coordinate, develop, edit, and produce high quality marketing materials in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, including proposals, newsletters, press releases, and social media.
- Assist in developing market research studies and analyze their findings.
- Assist in creating, recommending and implementing marketing programs and campaigns for products and services of the organization.
- Collaborate with product managers to implement new and modified programs and initiatives.
- Assist with client communications and standardization of corporate branding.
- Manage the company brand and public relations (print, digital, social).
- Generate digital KPIs.
- Optimize the corporate website to increase company domain authority and SEO.
- Manage and execute SEM campaigns (Corporate and Sponsored).
- Collaborate with the creative team for brand standards and campaigns.
- Develop, mentor, and lead employees to foster an environment of teamwork and accountability. Provide constructive feedback and identify areas of improvement for team and work to develop objectives to meet these needs.
- Define and coordinate training to ensure the team's ability to perform and expand their duties.
- Conduct performance appraisals and disciplinary documentation on team, in accordance with HR policies and procedures.
- Plan, coordinate, and track projects and team activities.
- Assist in the planning and coordination of trade shows, conferences, meetings, and events; work non-standard business hours during meetings and events.
- Lead communications and marketing activities for the ADTRAV Community Impact Foundation.
- Be knowledgeable and trained on direct reports duties and be able to perform the job functions as needed.
- Represent ADTRAV by embracing the company values and maintaining effective working relationships with employees, partners, vendors, and clients.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience required; 5+ years of Marketing and writing experience, with at least 1 year as a manager of a team.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PPT).
- Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience with digital communications including social media, email marketing, and CRM systems.
- Able to work collaboratively with different departments and managers, and vendors, to execute on department objectives.
- Hands-on, highly organized and directed leader.
- Analytic and decisive with ability to prioritize and communicate objectives.
- Exhibits leadership traits to motivate, communicate, and provide feedback.
- Exercises discretion and judgment when providing feedback, guidance, clarification, and disciplinary action.
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, appropriate for copywriting business proposals and client-facing marketing messages.
- Highly self-motivated and able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with varying deadlines.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment while balancing both strategic and tactical responsibilities.
- Able to present a professional and positive demeanor with internal and external customers/clients and work cooperatively.
- Ability to work remotely and meet the company home-office requirements.
- Able to maintain confidentiality of company and client information.
- Able to work outside of normal business hours, including nights and weekends, during company meetings and events.
- Able to travel up to 20%.
- Able to successfully pass a credit, criminal, and/or employment reference background check.
