The Cogency Global Events Marketing Team is expanding, and we are looking for a Marketing Events Manager to meaningfully increase the flow of qualified leads by driving the end-to-end execution of live and virtual Marketing and Sales events. The Marketing Events Manager will be responsible for selecting, negotiating, programming, producing and tracking the KPIs of webinars and conferences. Does this sound like it’s up your alley? What You’ll Be Doing
· Coordinating every aspect of planning and executing Marketing and Sales webinars and conferences:
o Budget management and accurate tracking of various virtual and live events
o Conference and venue research, selection, registration and negotiation
o Speaker/attendee scheduling & management
o Timely pre/post event logistics coordination and communication
o Assess and present sponsorship opportunities where appropriate
o Calendar management of event deadlines and participant schedules
o Lead distribution to Sales Teams
o Live events:
§ Giveaways planning and management
§ Inbound and outbound shipping
§ Drayage, electrical, AV, etc. when needed
o Webinars
§ Work with speakers and the content team to produce supporting marketing materials such as PPT decks, handouts and collateral
§ Running tech rehearsals over a Zoom call to orchestrate flow of events by leading speakers and support staff through script and plan of each event
§ Hosting webinars
§ Managing and maintaining the technology platform used to administer webinars, which includes independently negotiating annual subscription costs
§ Coordinating CLE certifications and credits with states and attendee attorneys and paralegals through email communications
o Organize and file these certifications on common drive
· Work with Brand and Content team to create promotional campaigns and materials for events to raise Cogency’s profile in the industry and produce more qualified leads
· Regularly measure and report on key Events KPI
· Manage relationships with event vendors
· This role will require about 30 % travel
What We’re Looking For
· Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferably in marketing, public relations, communications or a related field
· 3+ years of related experience, preferably in the legal space or a professional services industry
· Strong Excel and budget management skills are a MUST
· Excellent interpersonal skills – interacts well with all levels of staff and management with a positive and enthusiastic attitude
· An agile problem solver – solution-oriented thinking and ability to adapt to change
· Comfortable handling multiple events at once
· Operationally minded, self -starter with strong attention to detail
· Ability to stay calm and troubleshoot event and planning challenges
· Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with ability to boil down complex topics and processes for internal clients
· Proven track record of managing successful event campaigns, please provide references if you have them
· Knowledge of WebEx, Zoom or ON24 or other webinar hosting platforms
· Strong Microsoft Office skills
· Salesforce and HubSpot skills are a plus
· Experience managing vendors
· Results-oriented with high expectations for quality, accuracy, attention to detail and overall excellence
