This position will assist in the execution of marketing strategies and campaigns to promote the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium, The Wilds, Zoombezi Bay, and Safari Golf Club. They will collaborate with various teams to ensure the successful implementation of marketing initiatives, contributing to the overall growth and success of our parks.
- Support the development and execution of marketing campaigns across various channels (digital, social media, email, etc.), ensuring alignment with brand guidelines and objectives.
- Coordinate radio and TV production, collaborating with creative design firms and media partners to ensure the seamless execution of marketing initiatives.
- Organize and coordinate photo and video shoots, including logistics, scheduling, and collaboration with production teams. Manage the archiving of photos and videos for future use.
- Draft compelling copy that includes interpretive and wildlife conservation messaging for various marketing materials.
- Assist in the use and maintenance of media software to enhance marketing efforts.
- Collaborate with internal teams, external agencies, and vendors to coordinate marketing activities, ensuring timely delivery and quality output.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance metrics, prepare reports, and provide insights for continuous improvement of marketing strategies.
- Provide administrative assistance such as maintaining marketing calendars, organizing meetings, and managing marketing-related documentation.
- Implements sustainable (green) practices in daily tasks and for on-site and off-site events whenever possible.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Proven experience (3-5 years) in marketing, preferably in a coordinator or assistant role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with graphic design or basic knowledge of design software (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.)
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Self-starter and able to work effectively with minimal supervision.

- Ability to adhere to the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium’s drug-free workplace policy including but not limited to pre-employment, random, post-accident, reasonable suspicion, and follow-up treatment.
