Position Title: Marketing and Community Engagement Specialist
Location: Kansas City Credit Union, Main Branch
Reports to: President/CEO
Supervises: N/A
Position Purpose: As the Marketing and Community Engagement Specialist at Kansas City Credit Union, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing brand awareness, fostering Community Engagement, and driving membership growth. This position combines marketing strategy, community outreach, and member services to contribute to the overall growth and success of the credit union.

Key Responsibilities
- Membership Growth
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain members.
- Actively participate in community events to promote membership growth.
- Serve as a Member Service Representative (MSR) during community events to facilitate on-site account openings; also serving as in branch MSR when needed to contribute to a positive and overall success of the credit union.
- Manage the Digital Onboarding Platform Website.
- Marketing and Branding
- Create and execute marketing campaigns to increase brand visibility.
- Manage the credit union's website, ensuring it reflects current promotions and is enhanced for user experience.
- Craft and distribute email communications to all members for various promotions and updates.
- Work with 3rd Party vendors
- Business Development:
- Identify and pursue opportunities for business development, strategic partnerships, and collaborations.
- Represent the credit union at chamber events and industry functions to expand its network and influence.
- Events Coordination:
- Plan, coordinate, and manage credit union-sponsored events to strengthen community ties.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure successful event execution.
- Plan and coordinate internal staff events such as employee parties, credit union annual meetings, etc.
- Project Management:
- Assist the executive team with various projects, providing support and contributing to the achievement of organizational goals.
- Culture Enhancement:
- Foster a positive organizational culture through initiatives that align with the credit union's values of Teamwork, Respect, Integrity, Member Focus.
- Function as a brand ambassador, embodying the credit union's mission and vision in all interactions.
- Strategic Community Partnerships:
- Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships with community organizations to enhance the credit union's community presence.
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Utilize data analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing strategies and Community Engagement efforts.
- Generate reports for executive review, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Other Duties
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in Digital/Graphic Design is advantageous.
- Proven experience in marketing, Community Engagement, and business development is preferred.
- Exceptional project management and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with financial services and credit union operations is a plus.
- Able to manage your calendar and be accountable.
