We are looking for a zealous Marketing and Communications Intern to support our sales and marketing department in its primary and administrative duties. The individual must be extremely personal, enthusiastic, and detail oriented. In this position, you will be the first point of contact for new prospects and will help manage customer inquiries through phone and email communication. You will undertake daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities.
You will also have the opportunity to work alongside the Director of Marketing and Director of Sales to implement communications strategies and ensure the department is providing exceptional customer service. In addition, we will help sharpen your communication and organizational skills to develop a good understanding of customer management and marketing principles.

Job Responsibilities of the Marketing and Communications Intern (% breakdown):
85% = Customer relationship management and administrative work
- Assist the sales team in maintaining customer relations and satisfaction through handling phone calls, emailing, and managing client accounts.
- Maintain calendars and appointments.
- Entering customer information into our CRM software
- Update spreadsheets and databases with statistical non-financial information
- Develop skills and understand how to handle objections and complaints
15% = Marketing projects and marketing analysis
- Assist in the organizing of promotional and company events and attend them to facilitate their success.
- Draft and edit communications copy
- Assist in creating expansion campaigns to new markets
- SEO development and improvements to increase traffic to website
- Support the implementation of project and tasks on our marketing plan

Part time work (15-10 hours per week) of training remotely begins in March/April.
Full-time work (40-50 hours per week) starts in May and ends at the end of August each year. We can work with you to schedule your start and end dates around your school’s schedule
