SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

Finalsite Advantage Consultants are responsible for providing individualized services to schools and/or districts to support them with their marketing, communications, admissions, and enrollment needs.

As a member of a small team, each consultant has their own client base for which they are personally responsible. Work is varied and directly tailored to the needs of each client - resulting in a mixture of high-level strategy, planning, and guidance alongside practical support in the implementation of agreed initiatives.

Advantage Consultants are expected to have a good level of understanding of all areas covered by the service but may have strengths or areas of expertise in a particular area of marketing, communications, or admissions. The client's needs are matched with the consultant’s strengths and experience wherever possible.

Advantage Consultants required a clear understanding of, and experience within, one or more of the following education sectors: US independent schools, US public school districts; International schools (English-language based). Experience using Finalsite Composer is essential.

In addition to working directly with their own clients, Advantage Consultants are also a resource for the Finalsite Marketing Team in relation to presenting at Finalsite marketing events, mini-courses, and online training sessions.

100% Remote - Anywhere within the US

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work directly and independently with assigned clients to review, audit, and assess current marketing and communications activities.
  • Develop actionable and achievable plans and support the execution of projects and initiatives. Depending on the needs of the client, work may focus on:
  • MARKETING & COMMUNICATIONS CONSULTING In the course of this work consultants will proactively scope and develop strategies and initiatives involving techniques such as:

  • Customer Journey Review
  • Customer Persona Development
  • Admissions & Marketing Initiatives Audit
  • Website review & improvements
  • Content Marketing
  • Inbound Marketing initiatives
  • Internal Communications
  • New Family Communications
  • Student Yield Campaigns
  • Accepted Student Campaigns
  • Digital Advertising review
  • Inbound Marketing Initiatives
  • Admissions Event Planning
  • Retention-Focused Communications Strategy
  • Visual Branding Development
  • Brand Message Development
  • WEBSITE REDESIGN SUPPORT is a frequent element of Advantage projects. Support in this area will include:
  • Reviewing and refining key messaging
  • Review of current site structure, home page priorities & overall content.
  • Development of site map.
  • Development of homepage content strategy.
  • Consultation on design preferences and development of design brief.
  • Oversight of website design process and support with detailed design feedback.
  • Oversight of the development of written and visual content.
  • Planning and support for the development of new photography & videography.
  • Proactive support of the school team to ensure optimal use of Composer platform.
  • Support with, the creation, layout & optimization of website pages in the new site.
  • Website launch activities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
  • ESSENTIAL
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications or similarly relevant field.
  • 5+ years experience in a school marketing, communications, (or admissions) role.
  • A clear understanding of, and experience within, one or more of the following education sectors: US independent schools, US public school districts; International schools (English-language based).
  • Experience using Finalsite Composer
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal.
  • Experience in the development of short, medium, and long marketing/admissions/ enrollment plans.
  • Ability to inspire confidence in your own abilities, while mentoring and building confidence in the skills of others.
  • Understanding of content and inbound marketing techniques.
  • Ability to manage own workload
  • Ability to prioritize tasks within multiple projects and manage competing deadlines.

  • DESIRABLE
  • Creative copywriting skills
  • Basic graphic design skills (Canva or similar)
  • Experience with School Admin (‘Finalsite Enrollment’)
