The Events & Communications coordinator is responsible for managing the full list of Chamber related events including annual marque large scale events, monthly networking events, lunch and learns and other relevant member events.
Develop, implement, coordinate and monitor activities which insure and increase the Chamber’s membership including target marketing to potential members for recruitment purposes with personal follow up leading to enrollment. Every other year conduct a membership drive with 40+ volunteer members. Support member orientation events; provide member relations support and represent the organization externally at community events and meetings as required.
Assist with Leadership Greater Danbury program. Assist in relevant workforce development initiatives including the NRWIB BSU and Regional Sector Partnerships.
Develop and execute a Chamber media relations plan that includes press releases, press events, photo-coverage requests, and ongoing communications/relationship building with members of the media. Build relationships and coordinate efforts with public relations/marketing personnel from other major community partners and media.
Coordinate with webhosting company to manage Chamber’s website to include relevant material on website. Manage overall operations of ChamberMaster and serve as contact to Chamber members needing assistance with this software.
In conjunction with bookkeeper, assist with the Account Receivable for Membership dues.
Assist with various technical and administrative functions including name tag creation for events, sending out Chamber renewal certificates, organize personal note correspondence for President & CEO and other general clerical responsibilities.

Responsibilities: Perform all other duties and activities relating to Chambre events and communication efforts as may be assigned by the President. Attend and assist at functions of the Chamber.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
Professional appearance; public speaking and presentation skills; strong written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook. Sales experience; working with volunteers a plus. Ability to work in a team environment.
