Job Purpose / Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and capable individual to join our marketing team. The Marketing Associate will work closely with the Group Marketing Manager to oversee a variety of marketing efforts. They will support our subscriptions teams to drive new sales and grow readership and engagement. The ideal candidate must be extremely organised, detail oriented, and able to multitask and meet deadlines. They must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Main Duties / Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with the manager to implement, manage, and analyse all marketing activity across the audience groups. Campaigns will include email lead generation and engagement, paid social media, media partnerships and events
- Liaise with editorial to craft targeted reader surveys that yield actionable feedback; send out the surveys using our survey platform
- Collaborate with graphics team on small projects as needed (ex: house ads, graphics for social media)
- Attend and contribute updates and ideas in cross-departmental meetings
- Other ancillary duties as assigned
Qualifications / Person Specification
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) in business, advertising, marketing, or communications from an accredited four-year college or university. Candidates with a related degree and marketing experience will also be considered
- At least three years of related professional experience preferred; internships included
- Passion for B2B and B2C marketing
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to and interest in gaining an understanding of specialised industries
- Collaborative and team oriented, but also capable of working independently
- Demonstrates initiative and a willingness to take on new challenges and learn new skills
Experience in the following areas:
- Email marketing, including writing subject lines and email copy
- Running campaigns in a broadcast email service/software
- An understanding of campaign metrics
- Targeting, segmentation, opt-out laws, and list acquisition
- Basic understanding of HTML a plus
- Twitter Ads, LinkedIn Ads, SEO, SEM
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Knowledge of Salesforce CRM and Salesforce Marketing Cloud is a plus
Further Information
A reasonable estimate of the salary range for this role is $65,000-$70,000. To ensure pay fairness, the successful candidate will be offered a salary within the estimated salary range based on a number of considerations including but not limited to: skill set; experience and training; certifications; and other business and organisational needs. The disclosed range estimate is for our NYC office and has not been adjusted for other locations
