Oltarsh & Associates, P.C. is a small immigration law firm located in Midtown Manhattan. With over 50 years of experience, our firm provides legal services in business visas, work-related and family-based immigrant visas, waivers, deportation hearings, and naturalization proceedings. We are looking for a hardworking paralegal to join our team. Experience is preferred but not necessary. If you are detail-oriented, organized, inquisitive, dedicated, and have interpersonal skills, this will be a great role for you!
The ideal candidate will be responsible for the collection and organization of documents and information from various cases at the firm. This candidate should feel comfortable relaying messages between various groups and keeping all documents important to the cases they are working on organized.
This is a full-time position that is on-site Monday through Thursday, with the option of working remotely on Fridays. Applicants will only be considered if they are bilingual in English and Spanish as most of our clients are Spanish speakers.
Responsibilities
- Draft, prepare, and proof read routine legal documents
- Create and maintain case files
- Facilitate the meeting of attorney's deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders
- Conduct legal research
- Aid attorneys with translation with clients
- Translate legal documents
- Create bills for clients
- Schedule meetings and respond to telephone queries
- Communicate with clients throughout their case processes
- Perform general administrative duties
- Submit documents to court if necessary
Qualifications
- Experience as a legal secretary or assistant or paralegal (preferred, not required)
- Bachelor's degree or Paralegal certificate
- Bilingual English & Spanish

Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
