Full-time position: Onsite employment in Gladwin, Michigan.

Salary: $18-$22 per hour

Position Summary:

The Marketing Assistant for Riverwalk Place should have excellent organizational and clerical skills. This individual must have impeccable communication skills and grammatical consciousness and can multi-task across our different businesses, including Riverwalk Place lodging, weddings, and events, Chic Boutique, Oasis Salon & Spa, Rivertown Inn, and Riverwalk Grill. An ideal candidate would also possess graphic design and photography skills.

Objectives and Competencies:

• Typical duties of a Marketing Assistant would include, but are not limited to, the following requirements of the position:
• Printing and editing materials and signage throughout the building and at each business.
• Create advertisement art while collaborating with other businesses to maintain our businesses' brands.
• Share live videos and photos from events and business highlights happening at Riverwalk Place in real-time on social media.
• Photography of menu items, retail items, spa services, Riverwalk accommodations and special events.
• Create and maintain the content of our social media platforms while collaborating with the manager's needs and wants.
• Create and send weekly email blasts to our guest database of over 14,000 people
• Maintain website updates and information via WordPress for Riverwalk Place.
• Discover and create new events to bring in our targeted audience.
• Work through event and sale creations to best promote everything that Riverwalk offers along with each business.
• Time management is a MUST-HAVE skill for this position – balancing the marketing for 5 businesses that are all intertwined will come with many tasks that will have to be managed with intentionality and purpose.

Education and Experience: Employee must have a strong understanding of computers, including but not limited to; Microsoft Office programs, the Adobe Suite, gmail and other email platforms. Marketing or Graphic Design experience is required. Photography experience is required.

Physical Requirements: Employee must be able to sit for extended periods of time in a computer setting. This position would also require active participation in an office environment which may require stairs, bending and lifting of 15+ pounds.
