Position Summary:
The Marketing and Outreach Student Assistant position will create and manage marketing, outreach, and social media materials and content. The Student Assistant has the ability work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
The following are the functions essential to performing this job:
1. Create and manage social media content for for Student Success Programs.2. Create Marketing and promotional materials.3. Conduct outreach to prospective cohort program members.4. Provide a professional, helpful and welcoming atmosphere for faculty, staff, students, families, callers, and visitors of the Office of Student Success Programs.5. Assist students/visitors by providing general information6. Assist with communications for new students and their families via email, phone, and other modes.7. Provide coverage for the front desk, including answering phones, transferring calls, taking messages, and sending emails on behalf of the Office.8. Assist with special projects as required to include: preparing materials for distribution, creating spreadsheets, event set-up, etc.9. Perform other duties as assigned.
1. Be a currently enrolled FCC student.2. Ability to interact professionally with other students, faculty, staff, and community members using various modalities: face to face, email, and the phone.3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.4. Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.5. Ability to multitask and capable of managing multiple priorities.6. Ability to work independently and as a member of a team.
Desired Qualifications:1. Working knowledge of the structure and functions of the Office of Student Success Programs.2. Experience with graphic design, marketing, and/or social media.3. Knowledge of campus resources and campus processes.
