Job Summary
Coordinates the Employee Health program to assigned hospitals in a market and the market’s Worker's Compensation program.
Essential Functions
- Manages Employee Health initiatives such as maintaining Employee Health files, employee TB screenings/chest x-rays, vaccines, etc. for assigned market hospitals.
- Coordinates and conducts new Employee Health screenings.
- Collaborates with assigned hospitals on identifying employee illnesses, exposures and injuries in order to assess risk potential for prevention of transmission or recurrences.
- Develops and maintains policies and procedures to direct the activities of the Employee Health program.
- Ensures compliance with the Employee Hepatitis B Vaccine program.
- Coordinates employee work restrictions if the potential for transmission of infection exists.
- Serves on committees, as appropriate, which are involved in selection, evaluation and design and impact the Employee Health program.
- Enters incident/claim information into the Event Reporting System.
- Acts as a liaison for OSHA or Department of Industry, Labor and Human Relations (DILHR) inspections.
- Ensures the OSHA log is maintained in market hospitals.

- Demonstrates good interpersonal skills when working or interacting with residents, their families, and other staff members.
- Ability to work under stress and to respond quickly in emergency situations.
- Must have good and regular attendance.
- Approximate percent of time required to travel, 5%
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
$67,400/yr - $101,100/yr
We would expect those hired into this job would be paid within this pay range, however, certain circumstances may allow us to pay outside of this range.
Qualifications
Education
- Associates degree leading toward licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse.
Licenses/Certification
- Valid state licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical/Vocational Nurse.
Experience
- 2 years clinical experience in medical-surgical or critical care nursing
