The role of the Employee Health Nurse is to act as a Clinical Coordinator for DOHC/FHC in all matters related to Employee Health.
- Coordinates pre-employment screenings with HR and IC completing all information as much as possible prior to Physical Exam by IC MD. Ensure all forms, drug screens, TB Skin Tests/CXRs are completed and returned to HR in a timely manner.
- Coordinates annual and ongoing TB/CXR and FIT TEST compliance in conjunction with HR and the Compliance Officer.
- Coordinates Employee Flu Clinic in conjunction with Clinical Performance and Outcomes Department.
- Manages and coordinate, in conjunction with HR, process and follow-up for employees sustaining exposure / needle stick injuries.
- Coordinates and perform ergonomics inspections and recommendations in conjunction with HR.
- Develops and manages Employee Health Department Policies and Procedures. Including Clinical Policies embedded within the Safety Manual.
- Collaborates with the Employee Success Program and Health Education Department to support Employee Health promotion and engagement through classes and coaching.
- Participates in Safety and other committees as assigned by Director.
- Administers OSHA presentation at New Hire Orientation. Update presentation, as needed.
- Manages Hepatitis B Program for all employees including new hires.
- Acts as liaison and company representative to public and community health institutions on behalf of Employee Health matters.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Current California RN License
- RN with prior Employee Health experience desirable. Knowledge of Employee Health regulations, preferred.
- Excel database management and ability to sort and analyze reports. Ability to write and update research based Policies and Procedures
- Ability to write and update research based Policies and Procedures.
- Strong clinical and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
- High level of Emotional Intelligence and ability to interact with employees with a high level of confidentiality.
- Ability to present in front of others as required.
