You will serve as a Marine Transportation Specialist in the MSCREP SEATTLE, COMMANDER, MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND of MILITARY SEALIFT COMMAND PACIFIC.Qualifications: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. - Analyzing and evaluating vessel information against cargo requirements, and skills in operational management of vessels to provide safety, economic and efficient schedules.
- Providing logistic support for civilian manned ships to include provisions, supplies, fuel, pilots, transportation, tugs, line handlers, and minor emergency repairs.
- Arranging ship support at various ports including port services, berth restrictions, availability of tug, line handling services, and understanding vessel message traffic.
- Tracking ships funding to include handling credit card programs such as Government Credit Card Program (GCPC), contract funding, charter reports and maritime documentation.
- Drafting messages for ship pre-arrivals, logistic request replies and ship sail orders while maintaining ship history files.
