Marine Dock Hand

Tarpon Pointe Marina is hiring a part-time dockhand. Dockhands are responsible for assisting the marina team in serving customers and guests. Dockhand must work to maintain a safe and clean environment throughout the docks, water, and marina facilities.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Assist the Forklift Operator and other Dockhands in marina-related tasks such as safely operating/driving boats around the haul out area, securing boats to docks and ensuring bumpers are in the appropriate positions, rinsing down and flushing boats as they exit the water, ensuring drain plugs are correctly positioned, and detailing boats when necessary.
• Provide the highest level of customer and guest services by expediting any and all requests from customs including fueling boats, stocking coolers with ice, and assisting customers with their baggage when needed.
• Routinely operate motor and water vehicles and other various mechanized equipment.
• Perform general maintenance tasks for the marina facility including but not limited to lawn care, minor repairs to docks, and trash pickup.

• Reliable with good time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
• Strong communicator who can collaborate effectively with coworkers and customers.
• Enthusiastic about working outdoors and on the water.
• Adapts quickly and efficiently to changing priorities in order to meet teammate or member needs.
• Basic boat handling skills preferred.
• Previous marina experience preferred.
• Must have weekend availability.
