JOB SUMMARY: Excelerate Energy is seeking candidates for this Marine Assurance role. This role will support timely management of the Marine Assurance processes of terminal and ship Vetting and Compatibility reviews, database management, and technical and administrative support to the Organization.
The Marine Assurance Coordinator shall provide support for operational aspects of vessel operations including STS transfer of LNG in support of EE worldwide terminal development projects, market access and commercial efforts, and technical operations. The Marine Assurance Coordinator shall support LNG STS operations on a global basis as the customer interface for STS operations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include but are not limited to the following activities. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions:

  • Ship/shore and ship/ship compatibility studies, ship and terminal Vetting assessments, and vessel acceptance.
  • Develop mooring arrangement plans for LNG transfer operations of EE owned/operated/controlled fleet.
  • Support the continual improvement of the Vetting and Compatibility Processes and Procedures.
  • Support the tracking and scheduling of vessel STS equipment positioning, outfitting, testing, assessments, and logistics.
  • Participate in Feasibility, HAZID/HAZOP studies, risk assessments, shore side and crew training, HSSEQ and QA/QC objectives and reviews, as required.
  • Cooperative and collaborative support during incident investigation, customer relations and business development presentations.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, permitting agencies, port authorities, industry groups, EE and customer business units to provide comprehensive overviews of EE STS capabilities.
  • Support EE owned, operated, and chartered fleet to maintain compliance with the SIRE program, industry guidelines and best practices.
  • Manage the relationship and provide the initial point of contact for STS service providers, terminal operators, vessel owners and operators, shipping agents, pilots, mooring masters, equipment vendors, service providers and other third parties.
  • Maintain team records and database of relevant information regarding EE STS operations, assessments, and reviews, to track, monitor and continuously improve STS performance standards (KPI's).
  • Support the Marine Assurance Manager on assigned duties and projects as needed by the company.

Provide any requested support as needed to all departments in providing solutions for EE's operational and commercial endeavors.

TRAVEL REQUIRED: Up to 20%.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a Maritime Academy or Naval Architect.
  • Computer skills/ability - MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI), AutoCAD, Optimoor.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Professional mariner being a licensed Engineer, Deck Officer.
  • Tankerman PIC DL/DG endorsement.
  • LNG experience on board.
  • STS transfer experience.
  • Shore side technical operations experience with ship owner, ship manager or ship operator.
  • Experience with vessel inspections and audits.
  • Maritime auditor qualification/experience.
